Play Safe Holi advice from Dermatologist


Holi is festival of colors and it is on its way. It is Advice from dermatologist experts to play it safe. Dermatologist declares that debased or manufactured colors which used chemicals may cause a skin disease.

Bright colors are mixture of minced glasses, mercury sulphite, aluminium bromide, lead oxide in colors, which are deadly to skin tissues and causes minamata disease, learning disabilities as well as many water colors are alkaline base which is dangerous to delicate skin. Use homemade and natural colors instead of artificial colors.

Some Important and Useful Tips Advised:
  • Skin Care: Apply skin care lotion on skin before and after playing colors.
  • Hair Care: Apply coconut oil on hair and scalp before playing with colors. 
  • Eye care: Make sure that powder or other colors does not get in eyes. Use sunglasses for protection.
  • Dark colors are more harmful must be avoided. Use faint colors.
  • Apply thick nail paint on your nails of fingers and toes for protection purpose.
  • Buy natural colors.
  • Use quality based cleansing milk to remove dye colors on skin, face.
  • Take a bath after holi celebration, frequently bath and washing face repeated may ruin your skin and make dry skin.
